2. What data we process and why

Visiting the website: When you visit our website, our hosting provider processes technically necessary data (IP address, date and time, page visited, browser type) in server log files in order to provide the website securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Contact form, email, phone and WhatsApp: If you contact us, we process your details (e.g. name, email, phone number, message) to answer your enquiry and prepare bookings (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). If you contact us via WhatsApp, WhatsApp’s privacy policy (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) also applies.

Bookings and taking part in activities: To run dives, courses and excursions, we process the necessary details, e.g. name, ID number, hotel, training level and proof of insurance (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR).

3. Cookies and external services

We use technically necessary cookies on the basis of our legitimate interest. All other cookies and external services are only loaded once you consent in the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings.

Google reCAPTCHA (Google Ireland Ltd.) to protect the contact form from spam.
Vimeo (Vimeo.com Inc.) to play embedded videos.

This may involve transferring data to the USA. Transfers are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

4. Retention period

We only keep personal data for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose or required by statutory retention obligations (e.g. under tax law).
